Sometimes life throws something your way that you do not expect. After almost eight and half years of not having a regular job I am now employed full-time. Two weeks ago I received an email inquiring if I was available for a possible teaching position, to which I replied affirmatively. Ten days later I had a job and started Monday of this week.
God's ways truly are the best! After applying for several teaching positions this past spring and summer and not getting a position I had come to accept the fact that I would likely have to start subbing or "start again" with a less than ideal position. Instead of me searching it was the school that came looking for me. I am teaching one of my favorite math classes with an optimum schedule. The students, staff and faculty are great.
Besides being excited, one of my first thoughts was "How will I manage the household?" The recalibration of home life has been vigorous as each of us are taking on new or different roles and responsibilities. The learning curve has been steep at home and at school.
I am very excited about my new position and am so thankful for the support of my wife and son. It has been a joy serving my family as COO of domestic affairs for the past eight and half years but now it is my turn to serve my family in a different manner.
