My wife has converted us (my son and I) into being University of Kansas basketball fans. Living overseas it was tough watching games live due to the time difference; we could watch some games live but they were few and far between. Watching games "on demand" was an option but some members of the family did not enjoy watching when they already knew the outcome.
One of the joys of returning to the US is the ability to watch KU games live. This past weekend we went to Waco, Texas (the closest location the Jayhawks play on a weekend) to watch our beloved Jayhawks play live and in person. Prior to the game we patronized a local eating establishment that coincidently had been reserved by over a hundred KU fans. Jayhawk fans travel well and the arena was nearly 50% Kansas fans. Other than the game being closer than it should have been it was a fun time meeting up with other like minded fans and watching a team/sport we love.
